Sanjay Dasgupta trained as a mechanical engineer, strayed into journalism and has been a journalist ever since. From New York to Beijing, from the small village of Durness in Scotland to the towns and villages in India and Bangladesh, he has travelled widely. He is a voracious reader,and his other passions include classical music, both Indian and Western. Born and brought up in Calcutta, Sanjay started off as a reporter with the Business Standard. He is now a journalist based in London, where he lives with his wife and son. This is his debut novel.
