Today this assemblage of musical instruments is the largest and most comprehensive of its kind outside Europe. The Museum’s renowned Concert and Lecture Series, which began in 1954, features commentaries, demonstrations, and performances by some of the world’s greatest musicians using many of the instruments in the Museum’s collection. This CD features music from the Museum’s Gregorian chants series. Part of the Music from the Met series.
