Description
Size: 30″ (76cm) Long
This necklace was inspired by an ancient Egyptian jewelry from the New Kingdom era (1550-1069BC).
In ancient Egypt, jewelry was often worn as protective talismans, which were thought to bring good luck or fortune. Starting from the New Kingdom all social classes wore amulets (protective jewelry). Gold was believed to reflect the life-giving rays of the sun. Lapis gemstones were used as good luck charms for success in their exploits and calmness in danger.
This 30″ (76cm) necklace has genuine Lapis and freshwater cultured pearls, accented with 24 karat gold plate beads.
Designed and crafted in USA by Multilana. New York.
