EGYPTIAN GOLDEN FLY AMULET
The golden fly was an honorary award given to the Egyptian military for persistence in attacking the enemy. It is a replica of a fly symbol, originated in the 18th Dynasty, from the burial of Queen Ah-hotpe, Western Thebes.
Fly motifs: 24K antique gold-plate over pewter. Enhanced by 8mm Carnelian beads. Gold-filled clasp.
